The Monash Energy Club (MEC) is seeking affiliation with MSA Clubs & Societies as a new Monash club and needs your help by adding your name as a prospective member.
To indicate your interest in joining this club please select either MSA+ Membership or Non-MSA Membership (above). Note: there is no cost associated with 'joining' this club at this point. If sufficient expressions of interest to join this club are received by Tuesday 10 September then the new club Applicant Group will contact you via email to invite you to the Inaugural General Meeting (IGM). At the IGM, a committee will be elected to start running the club from this point forward.
The main purposes of the club are: - To advance and campaign for diversity within the energy sector, fostering an industry that embraces varied perspectives and backgrounds, through a commitment to showcase inclusivity and equitable representation. - To energise the Monash community and students’ interests in the energy industry by collaborating with experience organisations, such as the Monash Energy Institute, to host energy-related workshops and networking events for students. - To equip students with a comprehensive set of skills essential for thriving in the energy sector, fostering both technical proficiency and professional acumen, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the dynamic demands and challenges of the modern workforce. - To provide students with the most current and comprehensive information about the energy sector, ensure they stay informed about latest advancements, trends, and innovations, thereby equipping them with knowledge and preparedness for future industry challenges. - To connect students and industry professionals, providing students with the opportunity to understand and explore careers in the energy sector, while offering companies a chance to recruit top-tier talent from Monash University.
