Filipino Association of Monash

Filipino Association of Monash is seeking affiliation with MSA Clubs & Societies as a new Monash club and we need your help by adding your name as a prospective member.
To indicate your interest in joining this club please select either MSA+ Membership or Non-MSA Membership (above). 

Note:  there is no cost associated with 'joining' this club at this point. If sufficient expressions of interest to join this club are received by Wednesday 10 September 2025 then the new club Applicant Group will contact you via email to invite you to the Inaugural General Meeting (IGM). At the IGM, a committee will be elected to start running the club from Semester 1, 2026.  

The main purposes of the club are:

• To foster a supportive community for students, not only of Filipino background, but also for those interested in Filipino culture, by encouraging cultural awareness and understanding  among those within the Monash community.
• To promote an interest in Filipino culture, traditions, and heritage among Monash students through social events that involve educational and cultural activities. 
• To promote awareness and understanding of Filipino culture and history among Monash students.
• To support Filipino and non-Filipino students in forming meaningful connections through shared cultural and academic interests by facilitating FAM as a platform for building community across backgrounds. 
• To provide a space for students to explore and discuss the Filipino-Australian (Fil-Aus) experience through events, dialogue, and shared learning.
