Slav Society, Monash

The Monash Slav Society is seeking affiliation with MSA Clubs & Societies as a new Monash club and we need your help by adding your name as a prospective member.

To indicate your interest in joining this club please select either MSA+ Membership or Non-MSA Membership (above). 

Note:  there is no cost associated with 'joining' this club at this point. If sufficient expressions of interest to join this club are received by Wednesday 10 September 2025 then the new club Applicant Group will contact you via email to invite you to the Inaugural General Meeting (IGM). At the IGM, a committee will be elected to start running the club from Semester 1, 2026.  

The main purposes of the club are:

• Promote an interest in Slavic languages, cultures, and histories by facilitating educational events, discussions, and workshops that explore the diversity of Slavic peoples across Eastern, Central, and Southeastern Europe.
• Encourage cross-cultural learning and inclusivity by providing Monash students from all backgrounds with opportunities to engage respectfully with Slavic heritage, fostering understanding and dialogue across communities.
• Provide students with opportunities to explore and critically engage with contemporary and historical issues affecting Slavic societies through debate nights, speaker events, and curated film screenings.
• Foster the practice and appreciation of Slavic arts and traditions through hands-on creative activities.
